Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)

Who we are:

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is the largest career student business organization in the world. As a nonprofit education association with a quarter million students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields, we are a high school chapter. Our club operates the Meghan Beeler Cáfe, holds semi-monthly club meetings, offers an opportunity to attending the State Leadership Conference in Indianapolis, and hosts and attends various special events.

Mission Statement:

FBLA mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.


Membership is for grades 9-12 (deadline 9/19/19). Each member pays a membership fee of $22 which covers local, state, national dues, and a club T-shirt.

Meghan Beeler Café:

Saint Joseph High School has a unique opportunity to gain skills in the operations of a business with the Meghan Beeler Cafe. All members are required to work in the café each semester. Students are given the opportunity to learn more about tracking cash flow, inventory, pricing, and sales training.

Club Events:

During the month, we typically will have two meetings that will focus on learning about business and leadership. Activities have included a resume workshop, mock interviews, Shark Tank discussion, game night, Ted Talks, Kahoots, Trips to the Pacers, Purdue and Subaru to name a few.

State Leadership Conference:

Each club member will be considered for participation along with students from all over the state to participate in competitive events which include tests, presentations, and performances that allow members to demonstrate both academic and leadership skills in business related areas. Due to limitations on the number of members that may attend, those selected will have established a proven track record of commitment to the organization through attending meetings and working in the café and other events.
