The High School Placement Test (HSPT) will help to validate a student's readiness and proper placement into classes.
All incoming students are required to take the High School Placement Test.
It will be held on November 11, 2017, at Saint Joseph High School. Arrive at the Event Entrance side (Saint Louis Blvd.) beginning at 8:30 a.m. with testing concluding by 1:00 p.m. An additional HSPT will be held on November 18, 2017, for students unable to attend the November 11, 2017, test date.
The HSPT has six multiple-choice sections and an essay section which break down as follows:
Verbal Skills 60 questions 16 minutes
Quantitative Skills 52 questions 30 minutes
Reading 62 questions 25 minutes
Mathematics 64 questions 45 minutes
Language 60 questions 25 minutes
General Science 40 questions 30 minutes
Essay 30 minutes
The testing fee is $20 and can be paid on the day of testing (cash, check, or money order). Students will need to bring two #2 pencils. Students with an IEP/ILP/CaLP plan requiring extended testing time will need to submit a copy of the IEP/ILP/CaLP plan prior to the testing date.
