Apply for Free or Reduced Lunch Benefits
As a member of the National School Lunch Program, Saint Joseph High School offers free and reduced lunches to qualifying students. Families must apply each year for program eligibility. To apply for free or reduced lunches, visit www.lunchapp.com and select “St. Joseph High School” when prompted to provide the school name. When asked when lunch benefits should begin, select the box marked “July 1st” for the upcoming school year. Paper copies of the application are available in the Office of Student Life and the Main Office.
Lunch Payment Policy
Saint Joseph High School believes that having a nutritious lunch is critical to school success. Therefore, we will allow a student to charge up to two meals after their lunch account balance is zero. This policy applies to students who pay reduced or full price lunch (not to students receiving free lunch benefits). If, after two charged meals, the student’s cafe balance is still zero, the student will be provided a peanut butter/jelly sandwich and milk for lunch. They will not receive the hot lunch option or be allowed to select a la carte items until the balance is above zero. The Director of Food Services will contact the student’s family or legal guardian to discuss bringing the balance above zero.
